Great time yesterday in Nicosia at the Point Centre for Contemporary Art. Many thanks to Andre Zivanari and NeMe for a great event and to the in house curator, Chrystalleni Loizidou.

I had a chance of meeting new and old friends. It was an opportunity to discuss the current economic crisis and its impact on identities and cultures. I really look forward to writing this paper: Trimming the Arts: Art Cuts and the Role of the Artist within Societies in Crisis.

I also had the chance to stumble upon a great painting titled The Planters by Diamantis and discovered that he made a series of paintings titled Agony that feature a goat. The goat was a center point of my presentation.

Many thanks to all the attendees, it was a great pleasure to meet you all.
